And The Winners Are…

I loved reading all your comments!  I love picturing all your princesses and fairies wearing the tutus that I made!

These tutus are such a hit, I decided to feature them in one of our Heartz and Craftz parties.  Moms can learn how to make their own tutus for their own princesses as well as purchase additional kits to make more (for those who have more than one princess in the house!)

So, using the Random Generator, two of the 82 commenters (I took out my ONE comment…I wanted to reply back to all of you!) two numbers were chosen.  For the yellow tutu and wand:

Anna C, who said “I know a little girl who has been begging me for one of these, Thanks so much for the chance to win one!! Have a great day, A”

Now, for the blue tutu and wand, the Generator picked:Charisa, who said, “So darling!! Love it.”.  Charisa, I visited your blog (I have got to try the Roasted Red Pepper Dip!), love the pictures!

I’m emailing the winners now, so these tutus will be finding their way to their new princesses soon!  Thanks for participating in the Sew Mama Sew Giveaway and for all your kind words!

It’s a Giveaway!

It’s the annual Sew Mama Sew Giveaway!

Since my tutus were so popular last year, I decided to giveaway TWO this year!  And I’m also including a matching magic wand!

One is yellow with orange and purple highlights and the other is teal with green and blue highlights!  Your little princess will be twirling and swirling this holiday!

I’ll pick two winners out of everyone who comments on this post starting today, December 12th and Friday, December 16th.  Contest closes at 5 pm EST.  I’ll use the random number generator to pick two comments Friday night and I’ll notify you by email, so be sure to leave an email address!! And I’ll ship internationally! Good luck!

Giveaway!

I was planning on telling you all about the Christmas gift MR gave me this past year, but  I’ve had a migraine all day and I just want to go to bed to sleep it off.  My head feels like it’s ready to implode and I need to replace the bag of frozen edamames I’ve been wearing since 8:00 pm because it’s dripping down my face and pooling on the couch.

If I feel better tomorrow, I’ll clean up this post.  Right now I can barely see the screen.

I didn’t make this one, but I can duplicate it with your family initial and last name…the frame might be slightly different but the effect will be the same.

Your choice of initial and last name, about 9 to 11 inches square, glass and vinyl.  This is a great wedding gift, or engagement gift, or just keep it for yourself!

Okay, the rules:  Comment here before Monday, June 20th.  Tell me some of your summer plans.  Make me insanely jealous with the fabulousness of your life.  Post it on Facebook, and that will earn you an extra entry.  Subscribe to the blog and you get another entry.

Comments will be closed at midnight EST Monday and I’ll pick a winner out of a hat (or bag, or mug…whatever I have handy).  I don’t expect as many entries as the SewMamaSew contest, so writing them out will be easy!

I’m off to bed with a bag of corn.   Have fun

And the Winner is…

Thanks for all who entered to win my little tutu.  Your comments were sweet and a lot of you made me laugh!

I found a few new websites that I’ll be following.  The internets are FULL of interesting people.

If you’re interested in purchasing a tutu or fairy wand, I do have several made and custom orders are always welcome.  The fairy wand is $6.00 and the tutus are $12.00.  Email me for details!

So we had 102 entries. Using the generator at Random.org, we get:

The winner is 93- Eleanor- who said:

Congratulations to Eleanor and her 4-year old!  I’ll be sending you an email real soon!

Thanks everyone for playing.  Cross your fingers that I won SOMETHING from the talented people participating in the Sew Mama Sew Giveaway!

Sew Mama Sew Giveaway

I had so much fun participating in the last Sew Mama Sew giveaway I decided to do it again.  I virtually “met” some wonderful people last time around who really appreciated my little tutus, so I figured I’d make another one, plus a matching fairy wand!

This tutu was inspired by three gorgeous little French princesses- red, white and blue.  It’s also perfect timing for kicking off the summer in the USA.  Can you picture your own little princess at a Fourth of July barbeque flitting around in this?  It’s 19″ diameter, so it will fit a typical 2-3 year old.  The fairy wand is padded, so little consequence will come to one who get’s “granted” a wish on top of their head.

To enter the giveaway, leave a comment here by midnight May 25th and I’ll do the random generator thingy to pick a winner.  Make sure you leave an email so I can contact you.  The winner will be posted sometime on May 26th and your package will be shipped on the 27th.

Thanks for visiting and good luck!

Giveaway Day at Sew Mama Sew!

This week’s giveaway is sponsored by Sew Mama Sew. Visit them to get the whole list of awesome crafters participating!

If you’re like me, you’ve clicked through the whole list of crafty people over at Sew Mama Sew and clicked out immediately if you didn’t like what was given away.  Since I can’t comment on ANYONE who has a BLOGGER account (Big Brother is constantly watching…) I sent all the links that interested me home.  I’ll comment on them later.  BUT… I’m going back and revisiting all those other blogs to poke around.  I hope you do the same here because next week is another giveaway and it’s going to be good!  Bookmark it, baby.  You’ll want to come back.

For the SMS giveaway, however, I’m giving away one of my favorite tutus- the Christmas special. It’s red and green and fits a 2-4 year old. I’m also including a star wand, your choice of colors (or, if you want a Christmas wand, let me know- I can match the tutu.) The tutu is perfect for wearing out to visit Santa or opening presents! Just leave any comment here or any of my other posts until December 17th to win!  We’ll pick the winning name out of a Santa hat Friday night.

* I wasn’t sure I got my email in time to Sew Mama Sew and was waiting for a confirmation.  Thus the crappy picture of the tutu and no picture of the wand.  I had to post before 9 a.m. this morning to be in the giveaway, so everything was done way before I am fully awake.  I will update with better pictures tonight…

Countdown to Christmas- Giveaway #1

Okay, I’m a little behind.  As we slid into the weekend, I wasn’t in the mood for anything- just a blanket, some tea and a good movie to cry to.  Thank goodness I ran into an old friend Friday night and that cheered me up immensely.

Jeannie and I used to take the kids out early on Saturday mornings because our (ex) husbands used to sleep until noonish.  (Ask me if I ever got to sleep till noon.  I worked a full-time, normal-houred job as well as kept the house, volunteered at church and entertained the kids.  I was ALWAYS up early.  I guess being a couch-potato was hard work and required lots of sleep.)  We’d go to the movies, the park and once to the Renaissance Festival in Sands Point.  We always had a good time, and had lost touch over the years.  Thanks to Facebook, we found each other again, and it turns out she’s a bus driver on the (dreaded) N6!  She recognized me immediately and since I wasn’t paying attention and grouchy at the thought of taking the bus home, it took me a minute to even register a woman was driving.  It was a nice ride home chatting and gossiping (she’s a better driver than almost all the other bus maniacs.  She drove while talking and was STILL careful and smooth on the brakes!)  We promised to go to dinner soon and seeing her put me in a better mood for the weekend.

I am not a Grinch anymore.

I am SO not a Grinch that I’m going to be holding another Giveaway every week until Christmas.  Yay for you!  The giveaways will start small, building up to a big giveaway the week before Christmas.

For this week only- Monday 12/6 to Friday 12/10 midnight- leave a comment on any post to win…

a $10 Dunkin Donuts Gift Card.

We’ll put your name in a hat with each comment and pick Saturday morning, December 12.  The more you comment, the better your chance to win!  This contest is open to all my family members since they outnumber my regular readers a gazillion to one.  Just remember to share the wealth, m’kay?

Comment now.  Tell me anything.  Tell me what you want for Christmas.  Give me a Christmas blog suggestion. Tell me what to make for dinner on Christmas.  Anything!

UPDATE: I finally picked a winner… Congratulations, Diane! Email me with your address and I’ll send the card out asap!My little soup bowl at work...
